Not as autonomous vessels or futuristic control rooms, but as decision-support systems: installation planning, environmental risk screening, route optimization, anomaly detection, and scenario comparison under uncertainty.
For executives, the question is no longer whether AI will be used, but whether it will be governable, defensible, and aligned with business accountability when it is.
AI Compliance as a Software Problem

Where AI Compliance Actually Fits in the Business
AI compliance is not a standalone initiative. It sits between engineering execution and enterprise risk.

What Happens If You Do Nothing

This is not about being aggressive or conservative. It is about being intentional.
Why Compliance Is the Fastest Path to Value
There is a hard truth executives already recognize:
Most AI initiatives fail to deliver sustained value.
Not because the models are bad, but because trust erodes, governance breaks down, or the system cannot be defended when conditions change.
Compliant AI systems:
- are trusted longer,
- survive leadership changes,
- integrate into real decision processes,
- and scale without constant re-litigation.
Compliance is not overhead. It is value protection.

The real risk is letting AI shape offshore engineering decisions without clarity on ownership, limits, and evidence.
